Lori Stevic-Rust

Clinical Health Psychologist
Lori Stevic-Rust, PhD, ABPP is a graduate of Kent State University with a doctoral degree in clinical health psychology and a masters degree in community counseling. She completed an internship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan with specialty training in geriatrics, women's health and cardiac care. She has been awarded a Diplomate from the American Board of Professional Psychology in Board Certified Clinical Health Psychology (ABPP).

She is affectionately known to many as "Dr. Lori" the psychologist who has been a regular contributor to television and radio for the past 23 years. She was the host of a cable talk show entitled Best of Health TV and currently hosts an educational health segment for local television.

Her passion for educating and her strong commitment to normalizing mental health concerns has driven her to write and lecture on a wide range of topics. Her infectious enthusiasm, wealth of experience and sense of humor has afforded her the title of "best speaker" by many organizations. She is a successful national speaker and winner of the Corporate Keynote Speaker of the Year award. And has been recognized as a Woman of Note by the YWCA and the Professional Advocacy Award by the Consortium Against the Exploitation and Abuse of Seniors.
Dr. Stevic-Rust is the author of five books on topics ranging from depression, wellness and heart disease (endorsed by Larry King) and most recently completed a personal memoir on the art of aging with gratitude, Greedy for Life. Her latest book, Put on your Big Girl Shoes focuses on the cultivation of confidence, courage and resilience in woman.
She is a regular blogger for the Huffington Post and writes a monthly Dr. Lori column for national publication, PS Magazine and Cleveland Business Connects Magazine.
Dr. Stevic-Rust has worked in the field of clinical health psychology for twenty five years serving as the medical director for Integrative Medicine and senior services for Lake Health and the National Director for Artower Advisory Services, LLC where she provides national healthcare consultation to hospitals, post-acute care facilities and memory care units. She is the director for the bioethics for University Hospitals Ahuja Medical Center. She is the past director for dementia care services for University Hospitals in Cleveland where she developed innovative therapeutic programs for residents in the moderate to late stages of dementia including clinical use for a multi-sensory environment (snoezelen therapy). She maintains an outpatient clinical practice with an emphasis on women, seniors and wellness.

She is strong leader in her community known for volunteering her services to many organizations. She has been involved in mentoring programs for young women and helping women who have been victim of violence regain their sense of self-esteem and find their own voice of success through parenting, assertiveness and job training skill to re-enter the job market.



Dr. Stevic-Rust serves as the President of the board for the Lake County Council on Aging and the clinical advisory board for the Alzheimer Association and the United Way.
