Minnesota has some of the highest home health-care prices in the country. Its adult day-care and home care rates also run high. But the good news is that 22 percent of Minnesota’s nursing homes get five stars in the “overall” category from Medicare, as of this writing. (The national average is 18 percent.) Sixteen of those top 84 homes are in the state’s biggest cities: Minneapolis and St. Paul.
